### What is the difference between PE and PEX pipes?
PE is linear polyethylene — standard for water supply. PEX is cross-linked PE and is more heat and pressure resistant, used for underfloor heating and hot water distribution. PEX cannot be reshaped by heat and is harder to recycle.

Yes — PE pipes approved for drinking water (PE100, PE100-RC) are tested and approved for human use. They release no substances exceeding drinking water standards when correctly installed.
### Can PE pipes freeze?
