Sources and method

Source-aware knowledge instead of quick claims.

FT's AI and B2B pages are based on Danish data layers, industry sources and our own method. We separate source, extraction, interpretation and architectural assessment.

Principles

How we use sources

Original sources first

We prefer authorities, registers and industry organisations over loose summaries.

Source and judgement are separated

A source can provide data. FT assesses consequence through architectural method.

Uncertainty is marked

Missing BBR, old plans or unclear data should not be smoothed out in the text.

Context over silos

Pages link to each other and to sources so the reader can follow a topic from concept to workflow and method.

Data layers

What role do the sources play?

Not all sources can be used in the same way. Some provide registered facts, others provide rules, industry practice or method. That distinction is what makes the pages source-aware.

Address and building

DAWA/DAR and BBR are used to identify address, buildings, areas, use and registered conditions. They are strong starting data, but not proof of actual condition.

Planning and authority tracks

Plandata and BR18 are used to find early constraints, requirements and documentation tracks. They must always be read together with the concrete project intent and often municipal practice.

Energy, heritage and climate

Energy certificates, FBB and LCA sources can point to energy tracks, preservation concerns and climate documentation. They do not alone decide what is architecturally right.

AI practice and regulation

Industry sources, the Danish Data Protection Agency and the EU AI Act are used for governance, responsibility and data use. They are translated into concrete studio policies, not generic compliance text.

Reading rules

How we avoid making sources sound more certain than they are.

  1. 01 A register finding becomes useful only when source, date, address or building match and uncertainty are visible.
  2. 02 A rule or planning provision must not be rewritten as a finished conclusion before a professional has assessed the concrete project situation.
  3. 03 If sources point in different directions, the conflict should be shown as a question, not hidden in one combined recommendation.
  4. 04 When pages describe AI agents, they describe preparation and decision support. Binding advice requires human validation.
